How to Get Game Day Ready: Round 1
Our favourite day of the season is just around the corner! This year, we have some exciting new changes coming to the Game Day series to really elevate your experience. Each Game Day will have a different focus, and we are challenging you to complete the full 2023 series with us (this means each round of the Unstoppable Series)!
Whether you are new to Fitstop or you have completed every Game Day so far, here’s a bit of a run down so you can feel super prepared - let’s get into it!
WHY IS GAME DAY SO EPIC?
Game Day is all about coming together and celebrating as a community the best way we know how: through hard work, teamwork and a session where you’re genuinely proud of yourself and your teammates!
Whilst Game Day may seem like a lot from the outside, it’s actually designed for EVERY Fitstopper to participate as we’ve ensured options for all fitness levels and abilities. To put it simply, it brings a variety of Fitstop movements that you do throughout the entire Unstoppable Series program ( meaning no crazy surprises) - these movements come together to make an epic workout putting your strength, endurance and overall performance to the test!
ON THE DAY: CHOOSE TO PLAY OR COMPETE
We get it, we all have different goals and reasons for being part of Fitstop - and we love that! At the end of the day, Game Day is your day and we want you feeling your best, no matter what that looks like.
This is for our Fitstoppers wanting to complete Game Day alongside their Fitstoppers, without having to worry about weight standards! Playing on Game Day is all about you v you! Don’t worry, we promise you’ll still get your sweat on and finish the Series on a high!
Choose your weight and intensity, PLAY is for everyone and anyone!
If you want to level up and challenge yourself against other Fitstoppers to see where you’re at, choose to COMPETE. Compete will involve lifting the set weights and you must be able to properly perform the exercises involved in the workout (check with your trainers if you need clarification).
It’s all about going head to head in a friendly but competitive workout across an even playing field - categorised by male and female.
YOUR GAME DAY RUN THROUGH: ROUND 1 2023
SPOILER ALERT: it’s going to be epic! This round involves 6 stations, with 2 minutes per station. Two stations have a buy-in exercise and an exercise to record reps, two stations will challenge your capacity on the bike and ski and two stations will require a more steady work rate to help you get as many reps as possible (AMRAP style)!

OUR FINAL QUICK TIPS!
Focus on the quality of the Game Day movements in the gym and ask your trainers to help you perfect your form!
When the time comes for Game Day, don’t go 110% on your first station. You are working for 2 minutes max effort with 1-minute rest, so make sure you leave some energy in the tank for your final stations!
Trust in the hard work you’ve put in over the last 6 weeks - there has been plenty of training opportunity in the lead-up.
Play to your strengths! Understand which exercises are your strengths and get as many reps as you can on those stations/exercises!
HAVE FUN! It is a fun workout and made even more enjoyable because you are surrounded by your Fitstop community who have all worked so hard over the Series! Encourage each other, work hard and celebrate your performance!
