Through our athlete-inspired, progressive training and a passionate team supporting you, we can guarantee that coming to Fitstop Ascot Vale will be the best 50 minutes of your day! Owned by Brendon and Lauren Johnson, our community was born from the desire to unleash the inner athlete in everyone in a competitive, yet equally supportive group training environment. With a combined 20+ years of experience, our team were born with their passions for training and movement, with backgrounds in semi-pro soccer, senior AFL teams, boxing and more, before all moving into Personal Training careers to assist others in their fitness journeys. Here, you'll also have access to parking, showers, a coffee machine and kitchenette and our very popular kids corner. Brendon Johnson

MANAGER

Hello! I'm Brendon, Owner and Manager at Fitstop Ascot Vale. I have ALWAYS loved health and fitness - playing sport and pushing the mind and body to the next level is in my DNA from my early years of athletics and cross-country running, to playing senior Aussie rules football, boxing, cycling and finally moving into the fitness industry on a professional level. It had always been a dream of mine to open a training facility, where I could coach great people in an inclusive and supportive, positive space. During the Covid19 pandemic, I found the time to make this dream a reality and alongside my wife Lauren and our three children, we opened Fitstop Ascot Vale in April 2021. My favourite thing about leading our amazing community is being able to witness everyday people realise their passion for fitness and helping them in their transformations, both mind and body - when our clients have those light-bulb moments during their training, when something just switches on for them, when they reach a PB and then progress to functioning on another level. That, and just being around so many awesome people in one space! My favourite session? Can't choose between Lift and Perform. Just feels good to lift heavy things and I love having strength goals and working towards reaching those. But I also love Perform, the focus on power and explosive movements and getting the heart rate up always leaves me feeling amazing afterwards. Fun fact - I'm also a qualified A-grade electrician.

Lauren Johnson

MANAGER

Hi there! I'm Lauren and together with my husband Brendon and our three children, we own and run Fitstop Ascot Vale. I've always been active and trained and competed in many styles of dance since childhood. As an adult, i found a love of business and creativity, achieving a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and then a Diploma of Fashion Design. I'm now able to combine my passions by managing the business and marketing side of Fitstop Ascot Vale, as well as being able to jump into a session and feel the movement and great vibes, during a workday! So good!
