Brendon’s experience in high-performance sport and his passion for health and fitness have made him a valuable addition to the Fitstop team. With a focus on community, functional movement, and strength training, Brendon’s first Fitstop location has been absolutely welcomed by fitness enthusiasts in New Plymouth.
Hear about Brendon’s Fitstop Journey!
“The Fitstop formula and training methodology is a core reason why I believe Fitstop is so successful. The combination of strength, endurance and metabolic conditioning is spot on and the members love being able to track and celebrate their strength movements through the technology Fitstop has available.
I love the fact that at Fitstop we lift! I was also interested in how a functional fitness facility had a focus on the strength component of training. To see coaches coaching movement and members supporting each other as they all push towards their own individual goals, regardless of fitness level and experience, was something I wanted to bring to my community in New Plymouth. Our coaches are also incredible in training functional movement to help people live more, and the members themselves form friendships by supporting and celebrating each other’s achievements.
Pre–sales was a very new experience for me having not done anything like this before. I travelled to Australia and visited a number of different Fitstop facilities, and also received invaluable support throughout the pre-sales process. By following the advice and weekly plans throughout this process, I gave myself the best chance and opened my location cash flow positive.
We also experienced growth post-opening due to our consistency in delivering a high-quality fitness product. Our goal was for the whole city of New Plymouth to know that Fitstop was opening its doors to the community for the public to come and train with us.
That was the catalyst for our growth as the community really enjoyed the Fitstop training and the culture that we’ve developed post-opening!”

There’s something powerful about testing the work you’ve been putting in.
Whether it’s HYROX, Global Games, or the next challenge on your calendar, competition gives you a chance to push your limits, measure your progress, and see what you’re truly capable of.
You cross the finish line exhausted, proud, and probably wondering why you signed up in the first place… then somehow, you start thinking about the next one.
That’s the cycle. That’s the reward. That’s the feeling we’re chasing.
Time to see what your training has built.
