Beyond The Business: How Fitstop Beat 6 Other Brands to Land a Texas Multi-Unit Deal

Fitstop is officially expanding into Texas, with Fitstop Memorial set to become the brand’s first location in the state. Led by franchise owner Victor Guo and General Manager Rian Williams, the Houston fitness studio marks a major step in Fitstop’s US growth and the beginning of a wider vision for the Texas market.

Neither Victor nor Rian chose Fitstop without doing their research. Victor explored several fitness franchise opportunities, studied the Fitstop business model, spoke with existing franchise partners and reviewed the brand’s training and growth in Australia. Rian brought more than a decade of fitness industry experience, including helping grow OrangeTheory in Houston from one studio to 27, and conducted her own research before making the move. Both ultimately reached the same conclusion: Fitstop offered a stronger product, a genuine sense of community and a level of partnership that set it apart.

The progressive strength and conditioning program played a major role in that decision. After training at Fitstop Santa Monica, Victor and Rian experienced intentional programming, hands-on coaching and a team environment that still gave every member personal attention. They saw a workout designed to help people become stronger and continue progressing, rather than simply leaving them exhausted. Fitstop’s community and franchise partnership ultimately sealed the decision. Victor saw a natural fit between Fitstop and Houston’s relationship-driven, performance-focused culture, while both leaders valued the hands-on support behind the brand. Fitstop Memorial will now help set the standard for future growth across Houston and Texas, bringing a proven training product to one of the country’s most exciting fitness markets.
