Stronger Together: Celebrating the Women Who Power Fitstop

If you walk into any Fitstop across the globe, you’ll immediately see a powerful community of women empowering one another to reach their full potential. From smashing squat PBs in “Lift” sessions to leading the charge in operations behind the scenes, the women of Fitstop redefine what it means to be an athlete. Today, we stop to recognise the incredible impact they have on our community, proving that when you combine a high-performance mindset with a supportive environment, there are no limits to what can be achieved.

This International Women’s Day, we’re proud to recognise that more than 15,000 of our incredible members are women; women who train hard, lead from the front, support one another, and raise the standard inside every studio.

Behind the brand you love, the programming you trust, and the community you feel part of, there are hundreds of women shaping Fitstop every day as trainers, studio owners, and part of our HQ team.

Why Representation in Fitness Matters

Celebrating women in fitness isn’t just about participation; it’s about representation and opportunity. When women are coaches, owners and decision-makers in the industry, the entire fitness experience becomes more inclusive, informed and empowering.

At Fitstop, we’re proud to champion strong female representation across our community, from the gym floor to major fitness events,  celebrating women who step outside their comfort zones, do something for themselves, and achieve things they once thought were out of reach.

Fitstop is more than a place to train. It’s a space where women can prioritise themselves, build strength and confidence, and push their own boundaries outside of work and family commitments. Something that is truly for themselves and theirs alone.

Supporting women in fitness also means making it easier for them to start  or return  to training. Fitstop invests in the continued education of its coaches through a Functional Fitness Pregnancy and Postpartum Certification, delivered in partnership with Brooke Turner, one of Australia’s leading women’s fitness educators and founder of Functional Fitness for Pregnancy & Postpartum.

The program equips Fitstop trainers with specialised expertise in pregnancy-safe programming, postpartum recovery, pelvic floor and core considerations, and stage-specific strength development. By upskilling coaches in pre- and post-natal training, Fitstop is helping more women feel confident entering the gym, or returning to training after pregnancy, giving women their own space back to work on something for themselves.

Equality in fitness means recognising that strength evolves through every stage of life and creating environments where women feel supported to show up, challenge themselves, and achieve more than they thought possible. When women show up for themselves,, they hand this courage down to their daughters who then hand it down to theirs.
